De COVID-crisis, innovatie of ‘gewoon’ toekomstbestendig bedrijfsleven en MKB in Limburg vragen creatieve oplossingen om kansen te zien en te pakken in de toekomst. Leonardo Da Vinci toonde in de Renaissance als aan dat de kunsten en de wetenschap (artscience, waaronder de economisch wetenschappen zoals bedrijfskunde, organisatiewetenschappen en innovatiekunde, wat we ‘corporate artscience’ noemen) elkaar enorm kunnen versterken door samen te werken.
Het lectoraat Innovatief Ondernemen van Zuyd Hogeschool deed al eerder onderzoek naar samenwerking tussen de kunsten en organisaties om via deze cross-over bijvoorbeeld werkdruk op te lossen, tot nieuwe bedrijfsstrategie te komen of betere interne samenwerking te realiseren. Eén van de uitkomsten van dit onderzoek is dat na deze samenwerking 100% van de deelgenomen organisaties en kunstenaars vanwege het succes wederom met elkaar hopen samen te werken te toekomst!
Daarom start het lectoraat het programma ‘Limburg LEONARDOs’, in navolging van vele andere landen en andere initiatieven in Nederland zoals de KNAW en RASL in Nederland.
We helpen MKB’es en grotere bedrijven bij organisatievraagstukken rondom circulaire economie zoals business development, leiderschap en netwerken waarbij we berdijven, designers/kunstenaars en bedrijfswetenschappers voor korte tijd (10-20 weken) aan elkaar verbinden en in korte tijd tot voorstellen komen. We werken hierbij samen met iArts van Zuyd, OU, Qeske, Cultuur in Bedrijf Limburg, en partijen als LWV, ESZL, MKB Limburg en Keyport. We zullen deze samenwerking begeleiden en monitoren vanuit ons Zuyd Innovation & Entrepreneurship Lab (ZIEL) in Sittard.

The COVID crisis, innovation or ‘normal’ future-proof business and SMEs in Limburg (in The Netherlands) require creative solutions to see and seize opportunities in the future. Leonardo Da Vinci demonstrated in the Renaissance that the arts and science (artscience, including economic sciences such as business, organizational science and innovation science, what we call ‘corporate art science’) can greatly reinforce each other by working together.
The Innovative Entrepreneurship professorship of Zuyd University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands) has previously conducted research into collaboration between the arts and organizations in order to, for example, solve work pressure, arrive at a new business strategy or achieve better internal collaboration through this crossover. One of the results of this research is that after this collaboration 100% of the participating organizations and artists hope to work together again in the future because of the success!
That is why the research group is starting the ‘Limburg LEONARDOs’ program, following in the footsteps of many other countries and other initiatives in the Netherlands, such as the KNAW and RASL in the Netherlands.
We help SMEs and larger companies with organizational issues related to the circular economy such as business development, leadership and networks, whereby we connect companies, designers/artists and business scientists for a short time (10-20 weeks) and come up with proposals in a short time.
